Healthcare Recruiter

Position Summary

The Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placing qualified healthcare professionals to meet organizational staffing needs. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand workforce demands and develop effective recruiting strategies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-focused, and experienced in managing multiple openings while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for healthcare positions including clinical, non-clinical, administrative, and leadership roles.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking events, and other recruiting channels.
  • Conduct phone screens and interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of healthcare talent for current and future hiring needs.
  • Verify credentials, licenses, certifications, and employment references as required.
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and facilitate offer negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, employment laws, and company hiring policies.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, educational institutions, and industry organizations.
  • Attend job fairs, networking events, and community outreach initiatives to attract talent.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and provide regular updates on hiring activity, candidate pipelines, and market trends.
  • Support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, within healthcare.
  • Knowledge of healthcare roles, terminology, credentials, and licensing requirements.
  • Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and sourcing platforms.
  • Strong interviewing, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for nurses, physicians, allied health professionals, or healthcare support staff.
  • Familiarity with credentialing and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency or healthcare system environment.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM, PHR, AIRS, or healthcare recruiting certifications.
